Smiles Dental Spa is Your Holiday Veneers Dentist

Veneers DentistThis year, visit a veneers dentist and give yourself a gift that you can enjoy both now and for years to come. Most adults don’t like something about their smile. For many people, they don’t like how dull or stained their teeth have become. Others have larger concerns like gaps in between teeth and teeth that are chipped or don’t fit in with the surrounding ones. Regardless of the concerns you have about your smile; we have cosmetic dentistry procedures that can help.

The first thing we recommend is that you schedule a consultation so that we can examine your teeth and gums to make sure that they are healthy enough for a cosmetic procedure. If not, we will treat the infected areas so that your smile can look amazing and be in good health. Once done, we can discuss the goals that you have for your appearance and the best ways for accomplishing them. You may only need one or two teeth corrected or an entire smile makeover. We can do both.

As a veneers dentist, we use veneers to solve a variety of both health and appearance problems. For example, a veneer is commonly used in dental restorations to correct teeth that have been cracked or chipped in an accident. Simultaneously it can also be used to close gaps and cover dark stains. If this procedure is right for you, we will begin by making an impression of your teeth. This way the dental lab can create the veneers to match the shape and size of your natural teeth. This is important because a veneer is actually a thin shell that is placed on top of your natural tooth, becoming the new front of your tooth. It needs to be the correct size so that it blends in.

During this time, we will prepare your teeth for the final procedure. In order to do so we need to remove around a millimeter of enamel from the surface of your teeth so that the veneers will lay flat. This can make your teeth feel sensitive so we will provide sedation during the treatment and place temporary veneers on top of your teeth in order to protect them. The temporary set will look good, but they are not custom-made for you so your permanent set will look better and more natural. The temporaries will be attached with removable glue that is water-based so that they can come off easily. You need to be careful what you eat and how you brush your teeth while wearing them.

When the permanent set is ready, you will come back to our office so that the temporaries can be removed and your permanent ones loosely attached to your teeth. As a veneers dentist, we want you to see what they will look like before permanently bonding them in place. If any adjustments need to be made, this is the time to let us know. Afterwards, they will be permanently bonded to your teeth and making adjustments will be difficult. Once the new veneers are secure, your smile will look perfectly amazing, and you will be able to love your appearance in time for the New Year.
